apologies go out to all those who went to alton towers with me... yes i know im whiny and yes i know im a wuss... haha... it was great fun n im sure u guys had a great laugh watching a grown guy become such a pussy in the face of an oblivion... hahaha...

went to alton towers yesterday n it was amazing... seriously... havent been on roller coaster rides for yrs n i bet even if i did this wud still freak me out big time... it all started with a freaking 450am wake up... wth lah! summore hyde park closed must walk around hyde park to reach beit hall... n just for geography sake... hyde park is not like pasir ris park or bishan park that kind hor... hyde park takes half an hour to walk thru... n it spans like a few football stadiums in sq. area... to walk around it is no joke... but thankfully the gates were open on our side and we just had to climb over on the other side... our morning warm up exercise... then reached beit hall n saw all the sleepy faces... boarded the bus... nothing much... slept on the bus... but damn funny... to chong u... the scariest n shittiest ride was the bus ride there... cuz they din on the air con so damn stuffy n he felt like vomitting till the driver finally switched it on... haha...

reached alton towers finally... my mind still blank... like ok fun day... nothing much lah... nv even thought abt how scary the rides wud be... just a prelude... the nite b4 i was with boris on the com n we saw the map of alton towers n we saw 1 ride which went up to a pretty high height... den plunged into a black hole... n he was bent on going for that 1... it nv occurred to me at all that i'd be scared or anithing... it was still surreal... wah piang eh when i was there it hit me like 9 g force (which incidentally is the limit the human body can take we later learnt :P)

we rushed into the place at 10am when it opened and immediately walked all the way to this area with 2 major rides... i was still oh where we going? den i saw this sign board that woke me up... this is the most thrilling ride you will ever take... n then there was a warning which i cant remember but it was stern n i was like oh shit... here we go... it finally dawn on me... this day has just begun... 1st ride the nemesis... wah lao eh! effect i tell u! river water below the ride is red! the ride is so near the ground of sand n later grass... n cuz the ride queue is damn short cuz we were earli it was like i had no time to prepare... saw the ride go past 3 times n i was like paoyin screaming mummy... it was damn fast n it looked damn long with loops n twists n turns n it wasnt a carriage! it was dangling legs! it looked damn unsafe summore... chong u was my humji partner at that point both of us complaining abt it... but for different reasons... he was damn scared of dying... it is damn unsafe n all that shit... i was just scared cuz its a damn ride n its damn high! so we finally reached the boarding area n b4 i knew it i was sitting there holding on to the bars damn tightly n off we go... even now i still can remember the grass, the sand, the river water i saw... the ride was pretty shiok to wake us up but it wasnt very fun every1 said... they towards the end of the day forgot wat it was abt... it was pretty fast though... felt like 5s and wasnt that fantastic... but i cudnt forget cuz it was my 1st ride n i kept thinking wah lao! that is damn near lah! my feet can almost touch the ground! the day had just begun...

we moved on to a fun ride called the ripsaw... i was still shaken n quite afraid of this ride too but every1 went so how could i back out? it was pretty harmless n looked fun from the pple that went b4 us... it was 2 rows of 10 pple being flipped around... but the carriage of 20 pple could oso turn on its own axis... they did 2 rounds of forward revolution which was like adrenaline but not that scary cuz u cant c urself hitting the ground... then they hung u upside down n u felt the blood rush to the head... n all this while there was water shooting up to the sky... its not supposed to hit us but some got onto chong u's head n he shouted EH MY HAIR! n every1 luffed... haha... then it slowed down n went back down n we thought oh liddat onli r? then all of a sudden they swing u backwards n that was scary shit... n then they went to the top again... hung u upside down... den slowly lowered u towards the sprouting water bit by bit... haha... den some splashes on ur head n then ure done... pretty fun stuff with pple watching n luffing along... but just for the fun... no thrills... but back to heart attack!

next was a ride called air... by now queues were longer... so suspense was longer n the pain was worse... waiting in line watching more than just 3 rides was really painful... u watch over n over again the ride that passes by u... goes upside down n inside out... the best part abt this ride? ure horizontal... ure like superman... scary shit... n the ride hinges were pretty noisy... so when we talk abt another subject n my mind is off the ride... POOF! im back to reality of screams and the ride going by... its like a freaking monster popped out of the closet to scare u in a haunted house... by this time chong u was ok and pretty onz abt all the rides so i was the only humji shit left... but i must say... thought that long wait was painful.. the ride was damn fun... it went upside down so for a while ure on ur back looking at the sky... it was the best ride thus far...

u would think that after 3 rides ud haf calmed down n felt ok abt animore rides... wah lao i was still damn hum n damn scared n complaining more abt it... but the funny thing? we took the most unstable n scariest ride... the cable car... hahahahahaha... hanging on 1 rope n it moved at variable speeds... rope dangles differently and moves... wah i was really damn scared looking down...

we arrived at another area with 2 major rides as well... but this time we only took 1 cuz the other didnt look fantastic... this 1 we took was Rita Queen of Speed... it looked nothing spectacular... it was just a rush of speed straight den a few turns... no loops no twists no nothing... n it was an 18 second ride... but the name pushed us for it... the rest were like aiyah i think this will be nothing much... i was still the usual scardy cat... haha... this 1 was the worst in terms of wait thus far... the start is freaking loud n cuz u queue up parallel to the start track... u hear the screams at the start when they push u off... it is pressured water that pushes the roller coaster off to a quik start and it really looked mild... but somehow every single time pple screamed like shit... n it was damn scary... imagine talking abt something den u suddenly hear a scream n ure brought back down to earth... it happened abt 20+ times b4 our turn... n we noticed the ride goes on the 4th red light... usualli in F1 u c 1 by 1 red lights go off... here its 1 by 1 red lights go on then green light... but by the 4th red light it goes... so we were prepared... when it was my turn i was put beside this little girl who was separated from her fren n she was scared stiff... i bet i was scarder than her man... haha... but she kept screaming her frens name den kept saying oh no im gonna die that kinda thing? i just kept quiet n held on tight to my handle bar n braced myself for the start... remember 4th red light... remember... ok 3rd red light... BOOM!!! wah lao i've nv felt so much force in my life... even my dad accelerate on the PIE oso dun have this much force... den on the 1st turn it was damn strong but damn shiok... it went by damn fast but it was shiok... realli adrenaline... for such a simple ride to have such an effect... every1 was impressed by it... this was even better than air... not bad... everything getting better... going to the climax...

wah lao... climax is really climax... nothing beats the oblivion... n the set up was crazie.. knowing what it is is just the start of the scare... u c it with ur own eyes... ur balls shrink i tell u.. even the most avid of lovers of rides was slowly humming away... clinton joined me in declaration of scaredness... xiufang joined in soon after... wah lao eh... every1 went into the entrance... i stood outside n waited... n i chickened out... i was like its enough... this 1 is just too much for me to take... imagine going slowly up to the top just to wait to be dropped to the underground which is like at least 30m down into darkness... best part? at the edge of the vertical drop... they toy with u... they drop the ride just when it reaches the dropping zone... n then after 2s they plunge u down... wah piang eh! that 2s up there must be an eternity i thought... no way m i going on that blardy ride! i stood outside n cuz i din wanna go clinton decided to stay outside as well.. den joyce came back n dragged me in... really i have to thank u for that... if u didnt drag me in id haf regretted man... cuz oblivion was just the shiokest ride on earth... but it was 45min to an hour's wait for the ride... we walked thru the queue n there were tvs... wah lao the guy was like talking abt max g force man can withstand is 9g and oblivion is 4.5g... den zzzzzzz u c the interruption and the same guy goes crazie and shouts dont listen to him! dont enter! den zzzzzz interruption again the same guy like schitzo continue to intro the ride and pretend to scare... den zzzzz interruption again dont do it! leave while u still can!!! wah lao scary shit man... den halfway they announce some shit n what we heard was like oh the ride is closed pls stay in ur queue and wait and we will escort u to ur nearest exit... n boris was like wah lao! dowan lah! this 1 i must take! yvette was like maybe its a blessing in disguise... what if something goes wrong... but damn sian... this ride must take... boris say he chose this as the last cuz its the climax... ever since he saw on the map he was high liao... me n xiufang were like ahhhh... ok not so bad... not that big a loss... then we saw a lot of pple leaving the queue n a lot of us were like wah damn sian y liddat... but we stayed in the queue in hope... n we suddenly moved up damn fast! den me n xiufang were starting to get scared again.. like wah lao double the effect... felt sense of security and then quashed to the ground... den we reached a pt where we cud c the ride... 1 by 1 u c pple plunging down n screaming their lungs out... pple being toyed at the edge... i was seriously jellying... reached the ride gates and i had my mind made up... i was going to walk across n chicken out and just go down... and wait for them at the entrance... yea i mite regret it but its just too scary... then i thought abt the other side... i've been thru 3 scary rides safely and nv regretted them n enjoyed them.. this plunge is the shortest of them all n its just a 3s dive down... pple have said it was fun... wth m i doing running away? so i walked to the other side to put my bag n just swallowed saliva n went to the seat... but i grabbed on to my bar n was just white faced... den STUPID CHINJIE! that idiot started whacking both me n clinton on the thigh like trying to get us high n prepared... wah lao i was damn scared n that made me feel like shit lah! den slowly the ride went i was just dying inside man... the it rose up... den it levelled off just as fast n im like wth! so fast reach liao r? NO NO NO NO NO! den joyce n xiufang held hands n were like trying to calm each other down n say dont be scared... den looked over n saw me... i think they saw a white ghost man... talked to me i din answer cuz i was just damn scared man... den wah lao reach the edge damn fast! i din dare look down... after the ride my frens told me there was a sign below... it wrote DO NOT LOOK DOWN... haha... aniway now as im re-telling u this story im having the feeling of how i felt n im feeling damn shitty now... aniway back to the story... den plunge... it was really the best ride of the day and im so thankful really for joyce who dragged me up the hill to take this ride cuz it was fantastic... more force than even Rita... that plunge was just amazing... it left such a deep impact that on the bus ride back... everytime i fell aslp i woke up just as fast with the dream of oblivion n that deep plunge i took... nightmare i should say...

so i have just utterly humiliated myself on my own blog... but do i care? i took 5 amazing rides... u guys back home enjoy ur escape theme park bah! :P hahaha... but yea it was great fun ydae and well worth the 30 pounds put in... photos will be up as soon as i compile all! till then...
